My sister went with me to the “new doctor,” Dr. T, and sorry to say, we weren’t all that impressed, but agreed he’s better than Dr. D. What we mean by “better” is that he’s just not as rude. It’s too bad, but when you have Multiple Myeloma, you just don’t have that many options. This [...]

The good news is that I am able to go to the new doctor, as he accepts my insurance and he’s accepting new patients. I see him next Monday at 1:40pm. His office is so much closer and in a nice area, so that will be just great. I hope he turns out to be [...]

Son, niece, and sister took me to the ER yesterday. I was just miserable and having a hard time breathing. I feel like I’m 9 months pregnant and catch my breath.
The ER was great, listened, and thorough. Of course, I tried to just focus on the issue at hand: my swollen abdomen, the pain and [...]

I spoke to the two nurses today, Cindy & Marilyn. They were for Dr. D. whom I no longer like. They were nice today though I felt they sided with Dr. D earlier and were exasperated. Whatever. Here’s the deal.
The results of the ultrasound I had last Thursday, just before my doctor appointment, where Dr. [...]

You may recall I’d addressed Dr. D, my oncologist a while ago. I didn’t like her. We just don’t communicate very well. Actually, she doesn’t communicate well with lots of patients, it’s a weakness of hers. She is smart. She is good as far as not wanting to overtreat. I do think she truly cares [...]

Since my last writing, I’ve seen the GI doctor (yesterday) and doesn’t think I’m losing blood, as does Dr. D. He has ordered a few tests to ensure we’ve covered our bases. I’m having a repeat Capsule Endoscopy where you swallow a capsule and wear a belt for 8 hours and it takes pictures of [...]

I saw Dr. H., neurologist today. This appointment was made as a follow-up just before I was discharged from the hospital in May. Dr. H. does not believe that I had a stroke in my spinal chord as Dr. D. (oncologist) told me. Dr. D. believes that after the discussion from the other miscellaneous doctors. [...]

I saw the new Family Care Physician, Dr. P., today. She x-rayed my stomach and felt that I was moving my bowels well enough to continue as I am. Before she did the x-ray, she was ready to give me some medicine that is stronger than Miralax. Dr. P. said it was OK to take [...]

First, I saw Dr. W yesterday morning. He looked inside my bladder with some scope and all looks well. He’s ordered another test for next Monday where they put a catheter in me, fill my bladder to the rim, and have me move around and watch how my bladder expels, etc. The whole thing will take [...]

From the beginning, this urology thing doesn’t seem right. Someone was supposed to call me Friday to make an appointment with me for the week of July 7th, next week. While I really like the Neurosurgeon and her Resident doctor, the nurse, Ron, leaves something to be desired. Ron seems very full of himself. He [...]
